About: Meena Pawar

Meena is a U.K born British Indiam inter-disciplinary artist exploring painting, material, photography, and community workshops.

 She works with colour, surface, and touch to hold emotion and experience, drawing on social realism to illuminate the stories and lives around us. 

Her practice is informed by experience in education and supporting artists in gallery and community settings, alongside work across textiles, ceramics, print, and glass. She weaves craft and collaboration into work rooted in care, connection, and quiet transformation.

She is a Wolverhampton born emerging multi-disciplinary artist. With her love for creativity and all things creative, she realises it was instilled in her from an early age. She recalls when she watched her mother, making her very own creative textile pieces and how long she spent on the process and the outcome was amazing! 

She loved to doodle and draw as a child; she drew clothes on a certain lady on a cartoon strip and made little houses from her dad’s cigarette boxes. She has a good amount of experience in textiles, and she will work with this medium more in her future artwork. 

Meena has a love for the outdoors since a child, and she loves nature and hiking. She has climbed a few mountains in the UK.  Life has given her many experiences, one is to never to give up, even though at times no one may understand you or you happen to be alone, that’s ok…continue on, be brave. 

Currently she is a student at the University of Wolverhampton studying a MA in Digital Visual Communications part time after completing her Fine Art Hons Degree. On certain days you will find her working in Secondary schools, freelancing and at the Wolverhampton Art Gallery.

International Artist Residency.

In June 2026 she completed her first International residency in Leh Ladakh in India.
